This ensemble is an extraordinary group of hand picked UArts students that meet twice a week to explore the art and craft of recording music within a studio environment. Charged with composing and playing and to some extent arranging, this group embodies the degree of excellence and creativity that this University is known around the world for providing. From writing lead sheets to miking an acoustic piano and everything else in between, this group has evolved into one of the most extraordinary amalgamations of young talent our university and the city has to offer. This recording, the first of its kind, is a testament to their gifts, dedication and hard work. My heartfelt congratulations go out to each and every person that played a role in its realization.
